Thanks to a new round of funding from the State of California, Los Angeles County is looking to build on the success of Homekey, a program that repurposes hotels and motels into homes and shelters for people experiencing homelessness.

Through Homekey Round 1, the County was able to acquire 10 hotels and motels that are now housing 900 men, women and children at high risk of complications from COVID-19.

For Homekey Round 2, nearly $360 million has been set aside for jurisdictions within Los Angeles County.
