Spectrum News 1 reports on how housing changed Boyce Osife’s life after years or homelessness, addiction and incarceration.
He benefited from the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS) Housing for Health’ Flexible Housing Subsidy Pool (FHSP), administered by its nonprofit partner, Brilliant Corners.
FHSP allows DHS Housing for Health to braid funding sources to create local rental subsidies and long-term housing solutions out of time-limited funding opportunities. Brilliant Corners’ Chief Program Officer, Chris Contreras, said it helps people who have experienced homelessness find stability through housing and supportive services.
