Marta, 63, was forcibly evicted from her home after her landlord cut her water and electricity and locked her out. Feeling unsafe, she relocated to a motel funded through the Adult Protective Services Home Safe Program, implemented by WDACS and PATH, the latter a Measure H-funded service provider.
Marta could only stay there four months before her case manager had to find her another place, ideally near where she lived and worked in the City of Bell. Through LeaseUp, the case manager found Marta a studio unit in nearby South Gate. “Thank you for everything,” she said.
