Los Angeles County Government
Created by the Board of Supervisors as a part of the Los Angeles County Chief Executive Office, the Homeless Initiative serves as the central coordinating body for the County’s work on homelessness. County departments and agencies provide a range of services as part of the County’s social safety net, and some take the lead in implementing specific Measure H-funded strategies and increase their service capacity by contracting with nonprofits that provide outreach, case management, housing and more.
Los Angeles County has embraced an all-hands-on-deck approach to addressing the homeless crisis, with elected offices, departments and agencies all stepping up to do their part.
