LOS ANGELES COUNTY GOVERNMENT
Created by the Board of Supervisors as a part of the Los Angeles County Chief Executive Office, the Homeless Initiative serves as the central coordinating body for the County’s work on homelessness.
County departments and agencies provide a range of services as part of the County’s social safety net, and some take the lead in implementing specific Measure H-funded strategies and increase their service capacity by contracting with nonprofits that provide outreach, case management, housing and more.
Los Angeles County has embraced an all-hands-on-deck approach to addressing the homeless crisis, with elected offices, departments and agencies all stepping up to do their part.
The Homeless Initiative also collaborates with the following Los Angeles County departments:

- Beaches and Harbors
- Child Support Services
- County Counsel
- Human Resources
- Fire Department
- Internal Services
