The Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count is the nation’s largest census of its kind, with thousands of volunteers scouring communities throughout the County. The recently-concluded 2017 count will update numbers collected last year, when nearly 47,000 people were found to be without housing. It’s also a key step in establishing where and how resources should be deployed in the County’s ambitious fight against homelessness.
