Eric cycled between living on the streets or behind bars over decades of struggling with substance use disorder. He finally became sober after participating in a Measure H-funded Recovery Bridge Housing program provided by the LA County Department of Public Health-Substance Use Prevention and Control (SAPC) through a nonprofit partner, CRI-Help. Now, Eric himself works for CRI-Help to support others on the same journey and has a home of his own.
