After Justin, 39, spiraled into severe substance use disorder, his life began to fall into disarray. For years, he was in and out of jail and struggled to maintain relationships with friends and family. Unable to retain consistent employment and afford rent, Justin eventually found himself homeless and surviving out of his car.
Eventually, Justin took his crucial first step toward recovery, which put him on a path to housing stability. He enrolled himself and successfully completed a 90-day inpatient treatment program at the American Recovery Center, where he accessed the resources and support he needed to continue his housing journey. From there, he moved into Recovery Bridge Housing and began taking steps to continue his education. Today, he resides in a sober living center, where he is thriving. He diligently attends NA meetings and is working with a case manager to secure a permanent apartment.
