FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026

FUNDING RECOMMENDATIONS

The Los Angeles County Homeless Initiative is holding a series of virtual community listening sessions to strengthen strategies for addressing and preventing homelessness and to inform our annual funding recommendations for homeless services and housing in fiscal year 2025-2026.

This proposed spending plan will fund a coordinated system of programs that receive Measure H, a 1/4-cent sales tax approved by County voters in March 2017, as well as Homeless Housing, Assistance and Prevention (HHAP) grants from the State of California.

Our Homeless Initiative Funding Recommendations represent a significant portion but not all of the County’s investments to address and prevent homelessness. With this spending plan, our objectives are to:

  • Place more people into interim and permanent housing
  • Improve flow through the system, so people can move from street to home more effectively
  • Provide more services to people with complex health and behavioral health challenges who face significant barriers exiting homelessness
  • Expand collaborative partnerships with cities and Councils of Governments
  • Advance racial equity and integrate the input of people with lived expertise

COMMUNITY LISTENING SESSIONS

Every year, we conduct a series of community listening sessions to solicit input from diverse stakeholders and partners, including residents, local leaders, homeless services providers, people with lived experience, and other stakeholders to inform our funding recommendations.

We aim to ensure our annual budget and strategies are up-to-date and responsive to the unique needs and priorities of our communities.

We value your leadership on this issue and would like to hear from you!

Los Angeles County residents are invited to join us at one of the below listening sessions for Service Planning Areas (SPAs), which will take place virtually on Zoom unless stated otherwise.

Please use the links below to register now and ensure your voice is heard.

If you are unable to attend any of the below sessions, require accommodation, or would like to learn about listening sessions for people with lived experience, please email Danielle Zapata at dzapata@ceo.lacounty.gov.
