Manuel, 30, became homeless after fleeing a rundown East LA “trap house” with gang activity. “There was no running water nor electricity, let alone gas. It was hot in the summers and cold in the winters to the point that I took to the streets because of how bad it was. Them animals literally took over the house!”
LA:Rise connected him to CRCD Enterprise, which he said “matured (him) to gain the skills and knowledge… to be able to be a fantastic employee and coworker. What I’m proud of the most is knowing that I wake up and go to sleep knowing that I am going to be a part of putting a smile on a human being’s face every day!”
