A special message from Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority Interim Executive Director Heidi Marston

English Spanish

Are you looking for a way to be a part of the critical effort to address the homelessness crisis in Los Angeles County? Join us next week as a volunteer for the Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count 2020.

Every January members of the Los Angeles County community fan out across the County to find out who our homelessness neighbors are and where they reside. This annual count helps provide a critical picture of the trends, progress and scope of community members experiencing homelessness within Los Angeles County and helps local, state and federal policymakers understand where funding and services are needed. Without the information from the Count, the homeless services system would not be as effective at helping the people who need it the most.

The 2020 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count will occur, mostly at night, on the following dates and in the following areas:

January 21, 2020
Counting in the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita, and San Gabriel Valley (Service Planning Areas 2 & 3)

January 22, 2020
Counting in West Los Angeles, Southeast Los Angeles, & the South Bay (Service Planning Areas 5, 7, & 8)

January 23, 2020
Counting in the Antelope Valley (morning), Metro Los Angeles, & South Los Angeles (Service Planning Areas 1, 4, & 6)

Thousands of our neighbors will come out to be a part of the Count. I would be grateful if you joined us and signed up to volunteer at TheyCountWillYou.org.

Thanks to you…
