Updates & Additional Information

Dear Providers,

Besides our scheduled drop sites, our teams conduct roving street medicine and can address referrals throughout the county. If you would like to arrange for medical services for a person experiencing homelessness, please fill out this referral form completely and submit following the instructions on the document.

If you have any questions about the referral process, please reach out to MobileClinics@dhs.lacounty.gov.

While patients are always welcome to seek walk-up appointments at our mobile clinic drop sites (listed on the schedules sent out weekly), mobile clinic teams are able to meet referred patients at their encampments or other convenient locations as well. We request that case managers do not send participants to mobile clinic drop sites occurring outside their respective SPAs. If the SPA you operate within does not have anything on the most recent flyer, please reach out to Cindy (SPAs 3, 6, 7, 8) or Josh (SPAs 1, 2, 4, 5) to coordinate services within your respective SPA.

If you are working with a group of clients whose group size exceeds 3 that you were planning of transporting to one of the scheduled drop sites, please reach out to the respective Clinical Program Manager and provide a short summary of the group you’re working with (location of encampment(s) or interim housing site(s), number of people, general summary of medical needs). This will help us identify if there’s a possibility one of our teams can provide direct service to your clients at their unsheltered or sheltered location. Personal identification is not necessary in this message

Finally, we would also like to point out that we have several vaccines available at all of our mobile clinic dates for our unhoused population.

If you are interested in visiting a drop site, coordinating services for a client via referral, or have any other questions or comments, please reach out to the following Clinical Program Managers for assistance:

Josh Scarcella (he/him) (jscarcella@dhs.lacounty.gov) Clinical Program Manager for SPAs 1/2/4/5

Cindy Ramirez (CRamirez5@dhs.lacounty.gov) Clinical Program Manager for SPAs 3/6/7/8
