Los Angeles County pledged to support Los Angeles City in responding to its state of emergency. One way the County is supporting the City is by providing outreach workers to connect people experiencing homelessness to temporary accommodations in hotels, under the City’s Inside Safe program.
ABC 7’s Josh Haskell recently observed an Inside Safe outreach effort performed by the nonprofit homeless service provider The People Concern with Measure H funding from the County. Measure H is a landmark 1/4-cent sales tax approved by County voters in 2017 to create the first revenue stream dedicated to addressing and preventing homelessness.
