Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda L. Solis released the following statement after the Board of Supervisors authorized $11 million to finance a new development at 3rd and Dangler in East Los Angeles, the affordability preservation of Casa Bonita Senior Apartments in Huntington Park, the new La Veranda housing project in the City of Los Angeles, and the affordability preservation of Sunny Gardens Apartments in La Puente:
“I am eager to enter the next phase of these important affordable housing projects. When complete, these four First District housing developments will bring a total of 330 affordable housing units to local residents. Approximately $7 million will go toward a new 78-unit housing project at 3rd and Dangler in East Los Angeles. Another $1 million will fund 80 units for senior citizens at the Casa Bonita Senior Apartments in Huntington Park. La Veranda in the City of Los Angeles will receive $2 million to fund 77 units, and the Sunny Gardens Apartments in La Puente will get $1 million to fund 95 units for senior citizens.
