The Los Angeles County Homeless Initiative’s 22nd Quarterly Report tracks data on homeless prevention, outreach, supportive services, interim housing, and permanent housing strategies from the first quarter of fiscal year 2021-22, or July 1, 2021 – September 30, 2021.It also presents cumulative data from July 1, 2017, when Measure H funds first became available, through December 31, 2021.

The report highlights the ongoing work of County departments, agencies, and community-based organizations to implement Homeless Initiative Strategies, including numerous inspiring success stories that demonstrate the ways in which Homeless Initiative programs are transforming lives.

The report also updates the County’s progress in applying for funding through the State’s Homekey Round 2 program, with the County applying, in partnership with affordable housing developers, for funds to acquire up to 18 properties to be used as homeless housing.

Finally, the report provides an update on the process to develop recommendations for the FY 2022-23 Homeless Initiative funding recommendations.

Since the implementation of Measure H in July 2017 through December 31, 2021:

  • 56,453 individuals and family members have been placed in interim housing funded wholly or in part by Measure H
  • 31,898 individuals and family members have been placed in permanent housing through Measure H funded strategies.
