The Homeless Initiative’s Quarterly Report No. 23 provides data on the implementation of its strategies on homeless prevention, outreach, interim housing, permanent housing, and supportive services from July 1, 2021 – March 31, 2022, or the first three quarters of fiscal year (FY) 2021-22. Also included is cumulative data from July 1, 2017 – March 31, 2022, the period during which the County has been able to utilize funding from Measure H.

Since Measure H revenue began funding Homeless Initiative strategies, the County’s homeless services system has provided permanent housing to 81,027 people and interim housing to 109,183 people. These include 32,553 permanent housing and 58,222 interim housing placements through programs funded completely or partially with Measure H.

This Quarterly Report also captures significant developments underway at the Homeless Initiative, including the Board’s approval of a new framework to address and prevent homelessness, the recommendations of the Blue Ribbon Commission on Homelessness, and the Homeless Initiative’s FY 2022-23 spending plan.
