Homekey Round 3

Homekey Round 3

Homekey Round 3 600 541 CVillacorte

The State of California Department of Housing and Community Development’s (HCD’s) Homekey Program provides funding to local public entities (and their co-applicants) to purchase and rehabilitate housing, including hotels, motels, vacant apartment buildings, and other buildings and convert them into interim or permanent, long-term housing for people experiencing homelessness.

HCD is expected to release its Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for Homekey Round 3 in March 2023. Building on the success of Homekey Rounds 1 and 2, which have enabled the County of Los Angeles (County) to develop more than 1,500 units of permanent and interim housing, the County is now preparing for Homekey Round 3.

We invite qualified entities interested in being co-applicants with the County to respond to the Request for Statement of Qualifications (RFSQ)  released today.

Those who are identified as qualified applicants through this solicitation may have the opportunity to propose specific projects to the County and then to apply jointly with the County to Homekey Round 3.

Please find the RFSQ here. The RFSQ documents provide information on where to direct any questions.
