Today, Supervisor Hilda L. Solis called upon the Board of Supervisors to direct the Interim Chief Executive Officer, in coordination with the Director of the Homeless Initiative, to identify $905,000 in one-time funds and to open the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority’s Winter Shelter Program beginning October 15, 2015 through March 15, 2016 and allowing for 24-hour access to shelters during torrent conditions.
