A new source of help for those experiencing homelessness.

Athens Vistas Apartments, a new supportive housing development for seniors, recently opened its doors in unincorporated Athens Westmont. A vacant lot in South LA was transformed into affordable apartments for seniors who were homeless or have limited means.

County officials and partners celebrated the completion of the Nightingale, a 30-unit supportive housing community in Florence-Firestone for formerly homeless individuals. Residents receive intensive case-management services with a variety of other life-enhancing programs.
